Today's Angel Message

Dear Ones,

We have spoken of lessons and trials and their relationship. We do not wish to imply that spiritual lessons are learned only in difficulties of life.

Yes, it is true that difficulties offer many chances to develop and practice the virtues of Love.

However, difficulty is only one path to learning.

Far easier is to embrace the lessons you observe in your life. That is, while you may learn harmony by being confronted with many family members and co-workers who act in inharmonious ways, you need not wait for these to manifest before embodying harmony.

Instead, you may intentionally dedicate yourself to peaceful and harmonious ways of being before experiencing a temptation to conflict. As you read the daily news, for example, you may choose to regard political opponents with generosity. You may choose to send blessings rather than curses to those who commit crimes. You can pray for peace rather than victory in the destructive clashes that lead to battles and death.

As you become more and more a person of harmony and peace, you will find your life experiences mirror this virtue rather than challenge it. And so is created a gentle path to the spiritual nobility which is your true nature.

It is only in resisting this nature that you create painful situations in which to learn. That is, as you resist, perhaps by thinking ‘Life is filled with war! My family is filled with discord,' you experience greater inharmony in your life. Through the pain of these experiences, then, you develop a desire and love for peace and harmony. As the discord increases, so does your desire for its opposite until finally you are moved to act in harmonious ways.

There are two paths to spiritual growth, dear Ones. Neither is superior, for each leads to enlightenment. It is your choice which you travel.
